--------
We go on college tours with Matt and Veronica at Colorado State University and University of Northern Colorado.  Both are great, but I am especially impressed with UNC's modern facilities and campus - one advantage of having significant capital investments over the last decade.
--------
Another college tour, this time to University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.  This campus has grown tremendously since I took classes here, and has all of the facilities and amenities of the other large universities in the state.
--------
Our last college tour, this time to Western State in Gunnison, Colorado. A very nice campus in what unfortunately is one of Colorado's least pretty mountain towns.  Drive five miles in any direction any you get the views and scenery you expect in Colorado, but in Gunnison itself, Yikes!    Plant some trees!  That said Matt ranks his preferences as:  UCCS, Western State, UNC and last, my alma mater, CSU... though I have taken a number of courses at UCCS.

December 2006 - January 2007

Big trip to Florida is a go - here are a few of the top pictures from our Florida vacation:

Day 1, Sea World.  Started out with a visit to Shamu. One notable event was the attack of the squirrel during our lunch... Dinner at the Makahiki Luau Dinner and Show.

Day 2, Cocoa Beach.  We were having so much fun in the water, we didn't really take many pictures.  But we did have the attack of the Sea Bird creature to deal with:

Day 3, Disney's Animal Kingdom.  Very highly themed park, unfortunately horribly crowded, we wore ourselves out - dinner at Pirates Dinner Adventure.

Day 4, Clearwater Beach.  Lots of fun in the sand and water, dinner at Dad's favorite restaurant, Bahama Breeze.

Day 5, Disney's EPCOT and Magic Kingdom.  Spent most of the day at EPCOT, and a little time in the evening at Magic Kingdom.

Day 6, Universal Islands of Adventure.  My kids have definitely gotten older, they have had fun on this trip so far; but for them this was when the REAL fun began.  And Disney has got nothing on Universal as far as theme'ing goes, both Universal parks were beautiful, and this was the best of the trip.  All day here and we hit almost every ride, and then dinner at Margaritaville, Mike's other (new) favorite restaurant.

Day 7, Universal Studios.  Call it luck, but these were definitely the two best parks to end on.  We hit every ride, thanks to Universal's Express Plus add-on, worth every penny and far better than Fast Pass; which we used both days.  A long but immensely fun day, ending with dinner at the RainForest Cafe in Downtown Disney, where we completed our last minute souvenir shopping.
