October 2006

October brings the usual Halloween costumes...  And trick or treating of course:

September 2006

Now planning for our big vacation to Florida- Disney World, Universal Studio's, Kennedy Space Center.  All scheduled for end of December 06 early January 07.

Veronica and friends at homecoming: 

My immediate family and mom and sister take a ride on the Royal Gorge Railroad, during my mom's and sisters visit to Colorado.  

A Raccoon has been hanging around, sleeping in our window well during the day.

A quick business trip to New York City allows Mike to visit the UN, Times Square and finally eat at Mars 2112, which was closed the last time he tried!

Matt adds some "hair" color to his life. 

Me and the kids attend the 2006 Champions on Ice tour at the Colorado Springs World Arena.

Valerie goes back to Camp Elim for summer camp.

Veronica attends "Climbing High" a summer camp focused on rock climbing at Sky High Ranch.

June 2006

Annual summer trip to Six Flags Elitch Gardens.  Veronica's friend Alison and Valerie's friend Alexis join us for the fun.  Even Joshua and Matt make the trip - they had more fun than the pictures indicate...

My friend Robin Widmar is a winner in the 6th annual Writers Digest Short Story competition, for her story "Game of Chance".

May 2006

Veronica graduates 8th Grade...  and will be attending St. Mary's High School, a local private high school.

April 2006

Valerie and Dad go to Denver and visit the Colorado History Museum and the Molly Brown House.  Group and Class Picture! 

Veronica attends the regional Math Olympiad.

Bob and Janice Peloso celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary - and of course some of the old high school gang was there to help them celebrate.  Check it out here!

Matt becomes a licensed driver - Yikes!

Veronica decides to do track again - after swearing last year she would not do it again.

Valerie goes to winter camp at Camp Elem, where the theme is "Winter Olympics".  She loves it, and is thinking about returning in the summer:

Mikes seventh and last year as Veronicas troop cookie manager. 

Veronica attends an overnight girl scout "Mall" lock in.

Matt gets his permanent drivers license.

Annual Balloon festival, this time we actually made it to the park early to watch them take off...

Attended my department annual award "celebration" in Dayton, Ohio.

Valerie field trip to the Cave of The Winds.  I have not gone since I was a kid, I can see why it's a major local attraction - quite interesting - pictures here.

Attended my annual Bronco game with Wayne.  p.s. we won.

July 2005

Rescuing the baby bunny - it fell down our window-well, and we had to scoop it out.

Valerie attends another girl scout day camp "Be an Olympian", and Veronica is a camp counselor for this camp.

Back to London.  Bad timing on my part, happened to be there during and near the bombings.

Family trip to Water World, in Denver - a very nice water park.

Matt goes on vacation with family friends, to visit the Sand Dunes.  First time one of the kids has gone someplace without one of the rest of the family members along :(.

Matt begins working as a certified Grade 8 Soccer referee.

Veronica joins the middle school Track Team.

Veronica participates in the Math Olympiad at UCCS.

For Valerie's birthday, we make a special overnight trip to Denver that includes staying at a fancy hotel and riding a horse carriage in downtown Denver on the 16th street mall.

March 2005

Veronica wins school spelling bee, attends regional spelling bee and qualifies and attends the State Spelling Bee!  For the regional, we had to watch via monitor from another room, so the pictures is not that great.

The State spelling bee involved a overnight trip to Denver, which was fun.

February 2005

Another business trip to Toronto, Canada.

Matt attends Referee training in Castle Rock.

We buy a car for Matt, to use in his MasterDrive training.

Mikes sixth year as Veronica's girl scout troop cookie manager.
